Wacker NPE
Contractors visit the Wacker Corp. booth part of the largest exhibit floor ever at National Pavement Expo (NPE), held Jan. 31-Feb. 3 in Nashville.
NPE Conference program
Contractors also could attend the NPE conference program which featured more than 50 workshops and seminars. Among the new educational offerings was the first-ever presentation of "The Essentials of Asphalt Paving & Maintenance," developed by The Asphalt Institute specifically for NPE 2007. The day-long Asphalt Institute program was divided into four distinct sections, covering everything from an overview of asphalt materials, to production, placement, and compaction of mix, and pavement maintenance techniques.

The infrared equipment market was well represented too. In fact, contractors who attended the seminar “Infrared Versatility: ‘How to’ Steps for Cutting-edge Infrared Uses” could visit each of the presenters on the floor, including Keizer-Morris International.

Victory Sweepers Inc. brought its parking lot sweepers to NPE 2007 for the first time (the sweepers were introduced to the industry in November at NPE West 2006 in Las Vegas).
George Hedley NPE
The North American Power Sweeping Association (NAPSA) continued its successful run of high-energy workshops by bringing Hardhat Productions’ George Hedley to NPE. NAPSA hosted the event; NAPSA Gold Sponsor Tymco International co-sponsored the special 3-hour workshop.

Pavement, March 2007

Boasting the largest and most-varied exhibit floor in its 22-year history, the 2007 National Pavement Expo (NPE) in Nashville brought more than 2,100 paving and pavement maintenance contractors together for four days of intense industry interaction Jan. 31 through Feb. 3.

"These people come to work," said Loretta Miles, NPE show manager. "Attendance at our seminar program is just going through the roof, and the ratings our speakers are getting are just as high. Then they hit the floor and really invest the time with exhibitors to learn about the equipment they need to buy. It's a hard-working group.

"But Nashville being Nashville, and with all the hospitality suites our exhibitors host, we think they find some time to enjoy themselves as well."
